  • How will someone find me if I activate the PLB with GPS?
This PLB comes with a built-in Global Positioning System (GPS) to direct search and rescue to within 100m of your location. At the time of hiring, we will ask for your trip details and a minimum of 2 contact people who know about your trip. We then enter this information into the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) online database and provide you with visible confirmation.
If the PLB is activated, Emergency Services will check the database and  contact your contact persons to confirm your location and will then initiate a search and rescue.
